What Happens After You Cancel a Subscription
Cancelling a subscription stops the auto-renewal but doesn't immediately cut off access.
Right after you cancel
- The Subscription button on the creator's profile changes to "Cancelled — expires DD/MM/YYYY".
- You keep full subscriber access until that expiration date.
- You don't pay again unless you re-subscribe.
When the period ends
On the expiration date:
- The subscription expires automatically.
- The creator's subscriber-only content locks for you again.
- Any DM thread with the creator stays in your inbox, but the creator may not be able to message you (depends on the creator's DM settings).
- PPV content you bought stays accessible — the lifetime PPV access guarantee applies whether you're subscribed or not. See Lifetime Access.
Resubscribing
You can re-subscribe to the same creator at any time. Tap Subscribe on their profile.
- If you re-subscribe before the current period expires, your subscription continues uninterrupted.
- If you re-subscribe after expiration, a new subscription starts with a fresh billing date.
Free trials and cancellation
If you cancel during a free trial:
- Access continues until the trial end date (no charge will be made).
- You're not charged for the first paid period.
If you cancel after the trial converts to paid, the rules above apply.
What you can't do
- Get a cash refund for the period already paid. You can request a FanBucks credit through the dispute flow if there's a real issue (see Fansit's Refund Policy).
- Recover access mid-cancellation by tapping back in. Once the period ends, the only way back in is to re-subscribe.
What if the creator deletes their account?
If the creator closes their account or is removed by Fansit during your active subscription period:
- The subscription stops auto-renewing.
- PPV content you've already purchased stays accessible.
- The remaining unused subscription time is refunded to your wallet as FanBucks credit automatically.
