Becoming an AI Creator
To run an AI Creator account on Fansit, you designate the account as AI during creator setup. The designation enables the AI badge, applies the disclosure requirements, and locks in the AI content rules.
Step by step
- Sign in to your Fansit account.
- Go to Settings → Become a Creator (or, if you're already a creator, Settings → AI Creator Designation).
- Toggle Designate as AI Creator on.
- Confirm you understand the AI Content Rules and AI Likeness and Consent requirements.
- Complete the standard KYC flow if you haven't already (Incode ID + selfie).
- Set up your profile (display name, avatar, banner, bio).
The AI badge appears on your profile immediately after designation.
What changes
After designation:
- AI badge appears next to your display name on your profile, in search, in DMs, and in mass message previews.
- AI labels are required on every post and every piece of content. The post composer surfaces the labeling step before publishing.
- Likeness rules apply automatically — see AI Likeness and Consent.
- Content moderation applies extra synthetic-content review checks — see Content Moderation Policy.
Everything else (subscription pricing, payouts, messaging, streaming) works exactly the same as for human creators.
Switching designation
If you started as a human creator and want to switch to AI:
- Settings → Account → Switch to AI Creator.
- Confirm.
- Re-label any existing posts that contain AI content.
If you started as an AI Creator and want to switch to human:
- Settings → Account → Remove AI Designation.
- Confirm.
- The AI badge disappears from your profile.
- Existing AI-labeled posts stay labeled — you can't remove labels from individual posts retroactively.
- Going forward, you may no longer post AI content. Doing so without re-designating is a violation.
Most creators don't switch — pick one and stick with it.
Hybrid accounts
Can you mix AI content and non-AI content on the same account?
Yes — with caveats. An AI Creator account can post:
- AI-generated content (mandatorily labeled).
- AI-assisted content (mandatorily labeled).
- Voice-only audio that you actually recorded (no label required if no AI involved).
- Text-only posts that you wrote (no label required if no AI involved).
What you can't do:
- Mix AI-generated images with real photos of yourself in the same post without clear per-image labeling.
- Have an AI persona "appear" in real photos in a way that confuses fans about what's real.
The KYC behind the account
Even though the persona may be fictional, the person operating the account must complete the same KYC as any creator. We need to know who's behind the account for:
- §2257 compliance.
- Tax reporting (1099-K is issued to the operator's verified legal name).
- Payout to a verified bank account in the operator's name.
- Accountability under the Creator Terms.
The operator's identity is private — fans don't see it. Only the AI persona is public.
Earnings, taxes, payouts
All identical to human creators:
- Same FanBucks cash-out rate.
- Same pending balance period.
- Same payout schedule options.
- Same 1099-K reporting threshold ($600).
- Same chargeback handling.
Multiple AI Creator accounts under one operator
A single verified operator can run multiple AI Creator accounts — each one a different fictional persona. Each account requires:
- Separate profile setup.
- Separate AI designation.
- Separate compliance with the per-post labeling requirement.
The operator receives one consolidated 1099-K covering all accounts they operate, attributable to their single verified legal identity.
If you plan to run multiple AI accounts, you might also want to register as an agency to manage them more cleanly. See Registering as an Agency.
