I Subscribed But Can't See Subscriber Content
You paid for a subscription but the creator's profile still shows their content as locked. This is almost always one of three issues.
1. Cache or browser issue (most common)
The subscription processed correctly, but your browser is showing a cached version of the profile that doesn't reflect the change.
Fix:
- Hard refresh the page: Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac). On mobile, force-close the browser and reopen.
- Log out and log back in — clears session-level cache.
- Try a different browser to confirm the issue is local.
This fixes the issue for ~90% of "I can't see subscriber content" cases.
2. Subscription processing delay
Occasionally a subscription takes a minute or two to fully propagate. If you just subscribed in the last few minutes:
Fix: wait 2-5 minutes, then refresh. The content should appear.
3. Wrong subscription
Make sure you actually subscribed to the right creator. Double-check:
- Settings → Subscriptions shows all your active subscriptions.
- Find the creator you intended to subscribe to.
- If they're not in the list, the subscription didn't go through (check your wallet for the failed transaction).
- If they ARE in the list, you're subscribed — refresh their profile.
4. Creator removed the content
If the specific content you were trying to see has been removed by the creator (or by Fansit), it won't appear even with an active subscription. Check the creator's profile for a notice or announcement.
5. Account restriction on the creator
If the creator is in Restriction, their content is hidden from non-subscribers and from search/Explore. Subscribers retain access, but if the restriction is comprehensive, even subscribers may see limited content.
What to do if the basic fixes don't work
If you've refreshed, logged in/out, and your subscription is shown as active but content is still locked:
- Check the transaction in your wallet. Is the subscription transaction listed?
- If the transaction shows completed but the subscription doesn't appear in Settings → Subscriptions: there's a sync issue. Email support@fansit.com with the transaction ID.
- If the transaction shows failed or disputed: the subscription didn't process. Try subscribing again.
What if you were charged twice?
Sometimes a network issue causes a payment to retry. Check your wallet for two subscription transactions to the same creator on the same day:
- If you see two: contact support@fansit.com. We'll refund the duplicate as a FanBucks credit.
See Multiple Charges for the full duplicate-charge guide.
DMs not working with the subscribed creator
Subscribing usually grants DM access (if the creator has DMs enabled for subs):
- Check the creator's settings — they may have DMs disabled entirely.
- Check that you're not blocked by them.
- Check that they're not in Restriction (which limits new conversations).
If none of those apply, the issue might be a sync delay — wait a few minutes and try again.
When you should not retry
Don't repeatedly subscribe to a creator hoping it'll fix the issue. Each subscription attempt is a new charge. Use the troubleshooting flow above to identify the actual problem first.
