Completing KYC and Identity Verification

KYC ("Know Your Customer") is the identity verification step every creator goes through before they can post or earn. Fansit uses Incode to handle KYC. The full flow takes 2–5 minutes when it goes well.

What KYC verifies

  • That you are 18 or older.
  • That you are a real person (not a stolen photo or AI deepfake of someone else).
  • That the name on your government ID matches the name attached to your Fansit account for tax and payout purposes.
  • That you can prove you are physically present behind the account (the liveness check).

What you'll need

  • A government-issued photo ID — driver's license, state ID card, or passport. Not expired.
  • A device with a working front camera — phone, laptop, or tablet.
  • A well-lit space — not too bright, not too dim, no harsh shadows on your face or the ID.
  • About 5 minutes.

Step by step

  1. From Settings → Become a Creator, tap Start verification.
  2. The Incode flow opens inside Fansit.
  3. Pick your country of ID issuance.
  4. Pick your ID type — driver's license, state ID, or passport.
  5. Photo of the front of your ID. Hold it flat. Make sure all four corners are in frame and nothing is covered. No glare.
  6. Photo of the back of your ID (skip for passport).
  7. Selfie + liveness check. Look straight at the camera. Incode may ask you to slowly turn your head left and right, and blink.
  8. Wait a few seconds. Incode confirms or rejects.

Approved

You're a creator. Your profile shows the verified badge (yellow checkmark). You can post, set subscription prices, and start earning.

Rejected

If KYC rejects, you'll see a reason. The most common reasons and the fix for each are in Why Am I Failing ID Verification.

You can retry as many times as you need. Each retry uses a fresh Incode session — your old failed attempts don't count against you.

What we keep

  • A yes/no result of your verification.
  • The metadata required by §2257 for any creator who uploads adult content.
  • Your legal name (used for tax forms and payouts).
  • Your date of birth (for age verification).

We do not keep your ID image after verification completes. Incode handles document storage on our behalf.

Re-verification

You may be asked to re-verify if:

  • Your ID expires.
  • You change your legal name (marriage, etc.).
  • You request a withdrawal to a bank account whose name doesn't match the one on file.
  • We have reason to believe the original verification was compromised.

Re-verification follows the same flow.

Privacy
