I Can't Log In
Most login problems fall into one of five categories. Here's the fix for each.
1. Forgot your password
The most common case. Use the password reset flow:
- From the login screen, tap Forgot password.
- Enter the email associated with your account.
- Check your email (and spam folder) for a reset link.
- Click the link and set a new password.
- Log in with the new password.
The reset link expires after 1 hour. If you don't use it in time, request a new one.
2. Wrong email
You may be trying to log in with a different email than the one on the account. Common patterns:
- Used a personal email vs work email at signup.
- Used an alias email and forgot.
- Used a different email for fan vs creator accounts.
If you're not sure which email is right:
- Try the password reset flow with each email you might have used.
- If you get the password reset email, that's the right one.
3. Account doesn't exist
If you're getting "Account not found" or similar:
- The email you're using isn't associated with any Fansit account.
- The account may have been deleted.
- The email may have been changed by you previously.
To check, try signing up with that email. If it says "email already in use," there's an account — try the password reset. If it lets you sign up, there was no account.
4. Two-factor authentication issues
If you're past the email/password step but stuck on the 2FA code:
- Wrong code: the codes update every 30 seconds. Wait for the next one.
- App showing wrong codes: your phone's clock might be off. Sync to network time.
- Lost access to authenticator app: use a backup code. If you don't have backup codes, see 2FA Recovery.
5. Account is suspended or restricted
If you're getting "Account suspended" or "This account is currently restricted":
- Soft restriction (Caution): you can log in but some features are limited. Check Settings → Account Status.
- Restriction: you'll see the appeal screen instead of the dashboard. See How to Appeal.
- Termination: the account is permanently closed. See What Happens After Termination.
For terminated accounts, login won't work at all — you'll see a final closure message.
Less common issues
Browser issues
- Cached old session: clear your browser cookies for fansit.com, then try again.
- Incognito / private window: sometimes helps isolate the issue.
- Try a different browser to rule out an extension causing problems.
Device issues
- Device clock wrong — affects 2FA. Sync clock to network time.
- Cached app version — for the mobile app, force-quit and reopen, or update to the latest version.
Network issues
- Switch from cellular to Wi-Fi (or vice versa) — sometimes a network is blocking Fansit.
- Disable VPN temporarily — some VPNs are blocked for fraud prevention.
Account-level issues
- Pending email verification — if you signed up recently and haven't verified the email, log-in is blocked. Click the verification link in your email.
- Email change in progress — if you initiated an email change but haven't confirmed, log-in might be blocked. Complete the email change.
When all else fails
Email support@fansit.com with:
- The email address on the account.
- Your username (if you remember).
- The error message you're seeing.
- What you've tried so far.
- Last 4 digits of any payment method on the account (helps verify).
We respond within 1 business day. For account-recovery cases involving identity verification, the process can take 2-5 business days.
Preventing future login issues
- Use a password manager so you don't forget passwords.
- Set up 2FA with backup codes saved securely.
- Keep your email up to date — don't use email addresses you'll lose access to.
- Don't share your account — multiple people logging in from different locations triggers fraud detection.
