Joining a Livestream
Live streams are real-time broadcasts. Most are public — anyone can join — and creators monetize through tips, tip menus, and PPV unlocks during the stream.
Finding live streams
- Explore tab has a "Live Now" section at the top during peak hours.
- Creator profiles show a live indicator when the creator is broadcasting.
- Push notifications — if you've enabled them and follow the creator, you'll get a notification when they go live.
Joining
Tap any live indicator. The stream loads and you're in within a few seconds.
What you can do during a stream
- Watch the stream.
- Chat in real time with other viewers and the creator.
- Send tips — tap the tip icon, pick an amount, confirm.
- Unlock tip-menu items — preset tip amounts that correspond to specific actions the creator does. See Setting Up a Tip Menu.
- Buy PPV unlocks the creator drops in the stream.
Public-by-default
Streams are public by default. Even Private Streams can be screenshotted or recorded by attending fans. Don't share anything in chat (real names, addresses, phone numbers) you wouldn't want made public.
You may not record, screenshot, or redistribute another user's stream content without their explicit written consent. Doing so is a serious violation that can get your account terminated and may give rise to civil and criminal liability.
Stream recordings
After a stream ends, the creator may make the recording available as a Stream Recording — a paid VOD that fans can buy after the live event. Stream Recordings are bought like PPV posts and have the same lifetime access guarantee.
Audio and video issues
- Stream is buffering — try lowering the quality, switching to Wi-Fi, or refreshing the page.
- No sound — check your device volume and that the stream itself isn't muted.
- Black screen — refresh the page. If it persists, the creator may have temporarily paused.
