How to Cancel a Subscription

Cancelling a subscription takes about 30 seconds. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

Step by step

  1. Go to the creator's profile of the subscription you want to cancel.
  2. Tap the Subscription button (it says "Subscribed").
  3. Tap Manage Subscription or Cancel Subscription.
  4. Confirm.

Cancellation is immediate — auto-renewal is turned off — but your access stays active until your current period ends.

What "cancel" actually does

Cancellation does not refund the period you already paid for. It turns off auto-renewal, so the subscription expires at the end of the current period instead of charging you again.

If your monthly sub renews on the 15th and you cancel on the 5th, you keep access through the 14th. On the 15th, the sub expires and the creator's content locks again.

Want a refund instead of just cancelling?

If you cancel because you're unhappy with the subscription itself, you can also dispute the most recent transaction. Open the Wallet, find the transaction, tap Dispute. If approved, you'll get a FanBucks credit (not a cash refund). See How to Dispute a Transaction.

Cancelling annual subscriptions

Annual subs cancel the same way. You keep access until the end of the 365-day period.

If you're within 30 days of starting an annual sub and you regret it, dispute the transaction for a partial FanBucks credit (we calculate the unused portion).

Re-subscribing after cancelling

You can re-subscribe to the same creator any time. Tap Subscribe on their profile and start fresh. If they're offering a promo, you may be eligible — but usually first-time-only promos won't apply to a re-sub.

Multiple subscriptions

Cancelling one subscription does not cancel others. To see all your subscriptions, go to Settings → Subscriptions. Cancel each one individually, or use the bulk-cancel option if it's enabled for your account.
